Location : New Westminster, BC V3L 3L4. Work location : On site. Start date : As soon as possible. Vacancies : 2. Source : Job Bank #3475174.

Compensation : $30.00 per hour, 40 hours per week. Employment : Permanent, full time. Schedule : Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening.

Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.

Experience

7 months to less than 1 year.

Languages

English.

Responsibilities

Tasks :

• Prepare estimates of labour and / or material costs.
• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements.
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
• Schedule and co‑ordinate work on sites.
• Survey building locations and levels.
• Supervise other workers.
• Estimate costs and materials.
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments.
