The Opportunity

As Technical Director, you will provide strategic leadership and technical direction for all monitoring and instrumentation activities across the organization. You will drive innovation, ensure technical excellence, and oversee the successful delivery of complex, multidisciplinary projects. This role is responsible for shaping the vision, building high-performing teams, and representing the organization as a thought leader in the field.

What you can expect to do here

• Set the strategic vision and direction for the monitoring and instrumentation function, aligning with organizational goals and industry trends.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and management of advanced instrumentation and monitoring systems for large-scale and high-impact projects.
• Lead the development and continuous improvement of technical standards, best practices, and quality assurance processes.
• Provide expert guidance and technical oversight on complex project challenges, risk management, and troubleshooting.
• Foster a culture of innovation by evaluating and integrating emerging technologies and methodologies.
• Build, mentor, and lead multidisciplinary teams, including senior engineers and technical specialists.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets, resource allocation, and long-term capability planning.
• Represent the organization in high-level client engagements, industry forums, and technical conferences.
• Oversee the preparation and review of major proposals, project plans, and technical reports.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols.
• Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with clients, vendors, and academic institutions.
• Drive knowledge sharing, professional development, and succession planning within the team.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators for instrumentation and monitoring activities.
