THE OPPPORTUNITY
Our client is a wholesale manufacturer and distributor who supplies products to the trade supply (building products) industry.
Widely recognized as a stable, supplier of choice, this role represents a unique opportunity to join this legacy business in a unique role and division of their organization.
Due to continued growth and demand in the market, our client is currently seeking a Inside Sales Representative to join their head office team in Richmond Hill.
In this office-based role, the Inside Sales Representative will play a crucial role in driving the brand’s growth and success by becoming deeply knowledgeable about product offering and offering a high level of inside sales support to customers.
This position will interact directly with customers and follow up on inbound leads, providing accounts with tailored solutions and exceptional service.
THE ROLE
- Become a champion of the product line, understanding the product range and helping customers make informed decisions.
- Drive a seamless customer experience that creates a positive sentiment for the brand.
- Manage e-commerce platform (Shopfiy) including processing daily orders, updating product listings and adjusting inventory levels.
- Coordinate the shipment of products to customers which will require periodic liaison with shipping carriers; this also includes, keeping track of any custom orders which take place outside of the e-commerce platform.
- Assist customers with technical inquiries, troubleshooting, and make product recommendations.
- Manage customer conversations across all support channels (email, chat, social media, phone and in-person).
- Collaborate with internal teams, providing feedback on customer needs / market trends.
- Continually gain competitor knowledge / information and stay abreast of competing products.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as accounting, warehousing, order desk, marketing as required.
- Update production team on any issues affecting product quality and inventory availability.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years’ experience in a consultative, Inside Sales position.
- Strong aptitude for comprehending technical questions related to installation. The Inside Sales Rep is required to address inquiries about installation procedures, compatibility, and troubleshooting.
- Strong multitasking and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Prior experience working with Shopify, or other (or similar e-commerce platforms) and having familiarity with Shopify’s features, product management, and order processing is an asset.
- Understanding of cross-border logistics would be useful.
- Strong problem-solving ability, backed by good judgement.
- Ability to collaborate across departments and teams.
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
This role is based in the head office in Richmond Hill. Monday Friday schedule.
