Role : Team Lead (Production)
Location : Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada
Work Schedule : Night shift, Monday – Thursday, 5 : 45 pm to 4 : 15 am
Responsibilities
- Lead Team Members in performance of day‑to‑day activities
- Set clear expectations, hold team members accountable and provide continual feedback
- Lead process improvement activities by coordinating cross‑functional teams comprised of production, materials, maintenance, quality and engineering
- Monitor and address output & productivity issues within assigned departments including meeting production targets, cycle time and product & process quality standards
- Take responsibility for ensuring maximum production output while maintaining highest level of quality and employee morale
- Plan for all pre and post‑Kaizen activities in the area, with help from the Lean Team, to make every Kaizen event successful
- Take ownership of all processes and products so that they meet all quality standards, and nothing goes out to an internal customer that is deficient in quality
- Work with the Safety & Quality Manager to ensure the safety of employees and maintenance of equipment
- Comply with all federal and provincial safety standards, guidelines and policies by driving workforce initiatives such as our health and safety system towards a Mission zero incident safety culture
- Support team members by proactively addressing issues affecting quality, delivery and productivity in the area through daily morning meetings and proactive interactions with other departments and superiors to ensure barriers are removed
