Position

Position Title : Trainer, Digital Technology

Reports To : Manager II, Outreach, Assistive Tech, and Venture Pool

I. Scope and Summary of Primary Responsibilities

The Trainer, Digital Technology will assist in the Talent Pool Cultivation by executing 1-on-1 and group training, capturing progress follow-up, and developing documented goals and skill development areas that pertain to digital technology skills as part of the participant’s development plan. This role requires a high level of emotional maturity, resourcefulness, confidentiality, sound judgment, accuracy, diplomacy and digital technology training skills. It works closely with management, staff, volunteers, and Talent Pool members to support cultivation through technical training. This requires a sound understanding of vision loss assistive technology tools and how they interact with common workplace applications.

II. Essential Functions

• Conducts multiple 1-on-1 sessions with individuals within the Talent Pool, developing skills in work-related duties (e.g., email, documents, website, cloud storage, communications) via remote delivery courses and materials. Accessible technology includes Windows accessibility features, screen readers, magnification software, smartphone apps, etc.
• Plan and execute intensive digital skills training in a group setting to improve the Talent Pool’s job readiness in a timely manner.
• Regular follow-up with potential and current Talent Pool participants by telephone, email and virtual platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
• Learn new accessibility apps, AI tools, digital platforms and software quickly to keep up with the fast-changing landscape and provide necessary training to stay competitive in the job market.
• Maintain excellent organizational skills to manage Outlook calendar for coordinating group training and one-on-one virtual meetings.
• Use online CRM to track, register and follow-up with individuals for participation in group and one-on-one training, including progress and challenges.
• Produce ad hoc reports and CTW orientation presentations as needed.
• Participate in special projects and events as required.
