We're on the hunt for an ambitious and visionary Software Development Manager to spearhead our talented team into the frontier of technology and innovation.

Your role will focus on nurturing a dynamic environment where ideas flow freely, and a blend of waterfall and agile methodologies are the norm.

You will champion the development of our existing tech as well as cutting-edge solutions, leveraging the latest in private and public cloud technologies, generative AI, and microservices architecture.

This is a hybrid role with no mandatory days in office. We do expect that the candidate is available to come in for purpose-driven planned, and ad-hoc meetings such as in-person team collaborations, team events, workshops, etc. based on team needs.

Advantages

Education :

4-year degree (preferably in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar).

Experience :

10+ years of progressive software development experience.

2+ years of people management experience.

Responsibilities

About The Role :

Create a plan for the modernization of existing products and drive our cloud and AI initiatives.

Provide strategic direction for product and service delivery, ensuring adherence to requirements, budget, and timelines.

Oversee software license management, optimizing usage to align with business needs and drive cost savings.

Ensure quality assurance and technical leadership across all deliverables.

Lead multi-disciplinary teams in systems planning, design, development, and ongoing support.

Design and procure technical infrastructure for system upgrades and integration.

Accountable for development deliverables, including software code and technical documentation.

Drive significant technology initiatives throughout the development lifecycle.

Utilize best practices and coding standards in project execution.

Manage project plans and timelines, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Facilitate communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams and business units.

Conduct code reviews and diagnose / resolve complex technical issues.

Provide coaching, feedback, and development opportunities to team members.

Collaborate on strategic planning and budget management to support business objectives.

Qualifications

Skills :

Expertise in Spring, Java, Node.js, Java Script, CSS, React, Postgres.

Experience with emerging technologies such as Generative AI, No-Code / Low-Code platforms, and Process Mining would be a bonus.

Experience with Azure Cloud and OCP would be a bonus.

Significant cloud platform experience, preferably with Azure.

Knowledge of operating systems (Microsoft, Unix, Linux).

Familiar with Agile methodologies, Test Driven Development and Waterfall.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A problem solver with a keen eye for detail.

A desire to work at a large financial firm and ability to increase your financial knowledge.

Able to engage yourself in a project and enjoy the challenges and processes involved.

Flexible, eager, ambitious, and adaptable to change.

Strong knowledge of software development life cycle.

Passion for technology.
