Reporting to the Supervisors of CNC Milling and / or Turning, the Machine Operator will operate CNC Milling and / or Turning Centers, maintaining specifications outlined in the operation sheets, ensuring that operation is efficient, safe and that product quality is achieved. The successful candidate will able to work shift work as required.

Requirements / Key Competencies

• Operate multiple Makino 4-Axis Horizontal CNC Milling Centers with Fanuc controller with minimal supervision and with the goal of progressing to setting up
• Operate multiple DMG Mori multi-spindle, multi axis CNC mill-turn lathes and Hardinge 2-Axis CNC lathes with Fanuc and Mitsubishi controllers with assisted supervision and with the goal of progressing to setting up
• Following work instruction documentation and procedures to mount fixtures and establish work coordinates
• Basic knowledge of cutting tools as well as speeds and feeds are preferred
• Technical ability to read engineering drawing, sketches, interpret drawings and geometrical dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T)
• CMM (coordinate measuring machines) knowledge of operation is an asset
• Must have strong mathematical skills in geometry and trigonometry
• Competent in the use of precision measuring equipment and gauges to inspect machined parts and features
