At Intelcom, we’re seeking a dedicated Route Planner with over three years of experience to join our team and optimize delivery routes, ensuring operational excellence. This critical role, reporting to the Optimization Team Lead, involves utilizing specialized routing software to process delivery data and create efficient routes for multiple stations. The Route Planner will play a pivotal role in upholding our high standards for timeliness and accuracy.

Responsibilities

Planning and Optimization

  • Plan efficient delivery routes using routing software, minimizing travel time and distance.
  • Ensure routes align with station requests and meet standards dimension and capacity.
  • Dynamically adjust routes to accommodate station demands while adhering to delivery schedules.

Data Management

  • Verify and clean data to ensure accuracy in geolocation, package counts, and station-specific requests.
  • Rectify errors, such as unidentifiable package locations, and notify stations when necessary.
  • Check actual versus forecast data before optimization, ensuring systems are aligned.
  • Station Communication and Requests

  • Monitor and respond to station requests, including package count adjustments and special routing needs.
  • Communicate promptly with Team Leaders (TLs) and stations regarding delays, exceptions, or discrepancies.
  • Route Quality and Monitoring

  • Validate post-optimization data to ensure proper routing and package assignment.
  • Monitor key metrics like route length, delivery hours, and driver workload to meet efficiency targets.
  • Identify and address bottlenecks or irregularities in route planning.
  • Problem-Solving and Coordination

  • Collaborate with team members and configuration teams to address IT issues, configuration mismatches, or special requests.
  • Manage a minimum of 12 stations during the night shift while meeting critical deadlines.
  • All other tasks as required.
  • Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in logistics, data entry, transportation, or a related field.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced, high-stress situations.
  • Experience with routing software (e.g., Horasphere, FMC, or Progression).
  • Knowledge of geocoding is an asset.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
