Job descriptionSuccessful completion of pre-employment college program or equivalent experience Apprenticeship and Occupational Certification (Block 1) 1 to 3 years’ experience in structural steel fabricating
Responsibilities
- Position, align and fitting of structural metal or steel
- Determine material requirements and task sequences with the use of shop drawings
- Mark reference points on workpieces, using measuring devices, squares, chalk, or soapstone
- Lift or move steel materials into position using overhead cranes
- Regular use of jigs, welding torches, and hand tools
