As the Fit Technician, you will be responsible for developing quality garments that reflect our brand’s esthetic and quality standards.
Some of What You’ll Do :
- Create initial spec based on design intent, sketch, sample and / or block pattern
- Review technical design sketches to ensure garment construction is attainable and representative of pattern
- Measure and review sample at every stage, in preparation of fit session
- Fit on live model and mannequin
- Identify fit discrepancies and provide feedback to design during fit sessions
- Communicate corrections to factory clearly, using available tools, pattern, illustrator, excel
- Maintain accurate and up to date grading
- Ensure superior quality of garments
- Manage workload which may involve overlapping seasons
- Collaborate with peers in design, tech and production
Some of What You’ll Need :
- 5 + years of experience as a fit technician
- Knowledge of garment construction, fit, pattern making and grading
- Knowledge of fabrics, wovens and knits
- Strong knowledge of Excel and Illustrator
- Knowledge of menwear and womens wear apparel
- Outerwear is an asset
- Experience in Premium / Luxury a plus

Given the international nature of our business and of this position, the candidate will be required to communicate effectively, on a regular basis, with various stakeholders (co-workers, colleagues, customers, suppliers, etc.
located in Canada outside Quebec or throughout the world. Proficiency in languages other than French (notably, English) will be an asset for the successful candidate.
Moose knuckles is a Canadian company headquartered in Montreal and operating in North America, Europe and Asia. Professional French language proficiency is therefore required and essential for all Montreal-based employees.
In addition, the professional English proficiency is also important since it allows to collaborate with the employees of the group based internationally.
