Jr. High Administrative Assistant
The successful candidate
will be highly professional, organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated with strong technology skills. Responsibilities Key responsibilities for the full-time Administrative Assistant will be wide in scope and will include many different tasks and responsibilities.
Responsibilities may include but not be limited to : Office response / point of contact during peak times Payworks entering teacher absences and substitute pay Substitute Teachers - sign in process, ensuring new subs on payroll / assist in scheduling PAT point person incoming / outgoing forms Assisting staff, students, parents by phone, email and at the counter Drafting general correspondence and ensuring accuracy of all documents and letters generated at the school level Weekly Communicator and Admin communication updates Daily receipting and documenting incoming money from parents / students / staff Assist with report card preparation and printing Assist with School Calendar Managing volunteer database policy acknowledgements and police checks / authorized drivers Maintain monthly Incident Report Fire drill booklets / bags for classrooms and fire drill attendance Powerschool work : Daily attendance Allergy lists / forms Loading photos Verification forms / maintain student records Teacher and Parent Handbooks Alberta Health Submissions Work with the following programs : Solaro / Exambank / IXL Maintain the workroom Main buyer of supplies, purchases, gift cards OH&S Committee Member Library Tasks : ordering, maintenance, staff and student support and inventory Assist teachers with Field Trip protocols Qualifications Is able to clearly express his or her faith and relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour Agrees wholeheartedly with and abides by the GCA Statement of Faith without reservation Successful completion of a Police Information Check;
including Vulnerable Sector Search to be completed no later than 6 weeks after employment Skills Effective communication skills Ability to handle highly confidential information Excellent English written and oral communication skills Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize and meet deadlines Ability to make sound judgement and decisions Ability and desire to assist stakeholders in a friendly and professional manner Proven attention to detail and analytical problem-solving abilities Ability to work effectively independently or in teams giving and taking direction Self-starter who is able to set priorities and meet deadlines Job Type This Monday to Friday, full-time position (8 : 00am to 4 : 00pm) will train in June 2024.
