Drilling Engineer

RESPEC seeks an experienced Drilling Engineer to join our team in Saskatoon SK; however remote and other locations will be considered for the right candidate.

The primary responsibilities of the Drilling Engineer will be consulting of exploratory drilling solution-mining geothermal wells and disposal wells complete the life cycle of projects including project management and execution of project tasks financial accountability and budgeting and must be willing to travel 10-20% of the time. RESPEC supports a diverse range of mining and energy projects spanning the globe offering a qualified candidate exposure to a dynamic mix of drilling projects with diverse clients.

Qualifications :

Required:

• Bachelor of science degree in petroleum geological or mining engineering
• Minimum of 5 years of drilling engineering experience
• Strong technical background in well design and drilling program development and execution
• Prior experience in AFE preparation cost tracking financial accountability and procurement services
• Strong client relationships and the ability to support business development efforts
• Experience with completions engineering and design would be an asset
• Professional license or the ability to achieve professional license
