TOOLING MANAGER / TOOLROOM MANAGER

Central Stampings Ltd ., a member of the NARMCO Group of Companies has an immediate opening for Tooling Manager or Toolroom Manager for its Metal Stampings facility located in Windsor Ontario.

This hands-on position is responsible for the supervision of qualified Tool & Die makers and General Contractors in a multi-shift environment in general die maintenance and repair of automotive stamping dies (progressive, transfer, robotic tandem). The Tool Room Manager is also responsible for implementing and managing preventative / predictive maintenance programs and assisting plant operations with engineering solutions, commissioning, and product launches. This position has direct reports of 8-10 skilled technicians and is based in Windsor, Ontario.

Qualifications for candidates :

• Certified Tool & Die Makers or substantial experience in Tool & Die trade required
• 5+ years of Tool Room management experience
• Extensive knowledge in automotive metal stampings
• Strong mechanical skills
• Experience with systems-orientated preventative maintenance
• Experience in predictive maintenance measures
• Strong multi-tasking skills
• Strong organization skills
• Proven leadership and coaching abilities
• Proficient computer skills using Microsoft office
