Settlement Worker – Mental Health Focus
The Settlement Worker provides direct client services and supports newcomers in adapting to life in Canada. This position has a special focus on supporting clients to build through an integrated services approach;
the Settlement Worker conducts one-on-one detailed needs assessment and referrals, one-on-one information and orientation, group information and orientation, service bridging, community connections, client outreach, resource development, and ensures service accessibility for all eligible clients.
This position will deliver mental health workshops and provide one-to-one support using a trauma-informed approach to help distressed clients and increase positive mental health outcomes for newcomers.
This position provides support virtually and in person.
