Position Title : Brand Manager Nutrition Status : Contract, Full-Time, OngoingLocation : Saint-Laurent, QC (Greater Montreal Area)Compensation : TBD, based on experienceSchedule : Monday Friday, HybridOverview of RoleThe Brand Manager is responsible for the development, management, and execution of strategies and tactical programs to effectively achieve commercialization, profit margin and business plan objectives for assigned product(s).

Additional responsibilities include business strategic planning, pricing, forecasting, AP&G budget management, financial and project management.

This role requires experience with OTC marketing, CPG marketing, and / or DTC. The ideal candidate has experience working in Canadian Healthcare business development and / or branding and pharmaceutical development.

  • Build and lead annual strategic planning for the assigned brand, including analysis, recommendation, and presentation of proposed strategies to senior leadership.
  • Develop and execute national marketing campaigns across innovation and base business, including media planning, digital & social and direct-to-consumer initiatives.
  • Lead strategies to influence & engage with healthcare professionals, and partner with Nutrition Science to establish messaging and develop marketing & sales aid / promotional material to support our field sales team.
  • Work cross-functionally with Finance, Sales, Forecasting, Supply, Innovation, Legal and Regulatory Affairs, as well as external agencies and suppliers in development and support of strategic initiatives ensuring objectives are met.
  • Commercial lead for innovation from market analysis to go-to-market strategy through to managing flawless execution, includes forecasting and P&L management.
  • Possesses an understanding of legal and regulatory standards / requirements (e.g. Health Canada, CFIA) and use that information to influence product direction and development of strategic plans.
  • Partner with retail sales team to develop distribution, shelving, and promotion strategies.
  • Manage brand budget and drive efficiencies to maximize ROI.

Requirements and Assets

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field and / or MBA.
  • 3+ years of experience with progressive responsibility in brand / product management in health care / OTC marketing, consumer packaged goods marketing;

or a combination of the two.

  • HCP (Healthcare Professional) experience considered an asset
  • Strong thought leadership, as well as written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated cross-functional leadership and collaboration skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute complex strategic business plans.
  • Familiarity with primary and secondary market research and data analysis, including Nielsen’s.
  • Experience and proficiency with P&L / budget management.
  • Must have basic communication skills in French, bilingualism is a strong asset
