Responsibilities

and Key Accountabilities

The successful candidate will be assigned small projects from planning to implementation and typical tasks include :

  • Develop work plans and budgets
  • Liaise with clients and determine client requirements
  • Provide preliminary / conceptual design through to detailed design for marine infrastructures
  • Conduct field work (inspection and review during construction)
  • Prepare project deliverables including drawings, specifications, and reports
  • Support senior staff on larger projects including :
  • Detailed analysis and design of marine structures including docks, marinas, ports, ferry terminals, piers, steel sheet pile structures, steel and timber pile structures, floating structures and waterfront facilities.
  • Inter-discipline coordination
  • Assist with project reporting

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in civil / structural engineering

Structural design experience using steel, concrete, and timber

Experience with seismic design and soil-structures interaction

Interest in working on large scale industrial and maritime projects

Understanding of tides, wave and wind forces is preferred

Experience with structural analysis software and Microsoft Office is preferred

Good communication skills both written and verbal

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Exceptional interpersonal skills
