Quality Assurance Technician (Afternoon/Night Shift)

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Foremost has an immediate opening for a Quality Assurance Technician position located at our facility in Stettler, Alberta.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring Foremost quality policies and procedures are followed, ensure material identification and adhere to Foremost safety policies and procedures.

This is a designated afternoon / night shift.

Accountabilities :

• Welding and paint quality inspections.
• Ensure compliance with the Foremost Quality Assurance program
• Perform direct inspections and roving process audits as required
• Document Non-Conformances, communication disposition and assist in the corrective action process
• Prepare clear, comprehensive records and reports as required
• Review documents and drawings to ensure conformance with established procedural requirements
• Ensure correct material identification
• Lead First Article for the Weld Department
• Assist with Change Control for the Weld Department including review prior to release
• Assist with Continuous Improvement initiatives
• Development and implementation of work instructions and procedures
• Administer pre-employment weld test and scheduling of review
• Train Weld personnel with regards to Quality Procedures
• Interact with all levels of manufacturing personnel, drafting and project coordinators
• Other duties, as assigned

Qualifications :

• Welding is an asset.
• CWB level 1 Inspector is an asset.
• Knowledge and precious experience in a quality role, experience in methodologies in a Lean environment would be an asset
• Previous fabrication welding experience with the ability to read and comprehend construction drawings and specification
• Previous experience in the Hydrolase Industry would be an asset
• Highly motivated and self-directed capable of multi-tasking, and able to work minimal supervision

• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
