Data Management Analyst
Our client is looking for a Data Management Analyst to join their team on a Remote basis. This is a 12-month temporary position.
The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to ensure the quality, integrity, and accessibility of data across the organization.
The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a passion for data quality.
This role will work closely with various departments to develop data quality and management requirements.
Your success will be defined by your ability to :
- Work with the business to document data quality requirements and monitor and assess data quality metrics; identify and address data quality issues.
- Implement and enforce data governance policies and standards; serve as a point of contact for data-related inquiries.
- Analyze datasets to provide insights and recommendations that support decision-making and improve operational efficiency.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of data definitions, lineage, and standards.
- Work closely with data owners, data users, and IT teams to ensure alignment on data management practices.
- Provide training and support to employees on data stewardship best practices and tools.
- Generate regular reports on data quality and compliance metrics for management review.
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and provide data solutions that align with organizational objectives.
- Provide training and support to staff on data management practices and tools.
Your strengths include :
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in data management, data analysis, or a similar role.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, data visualization such as Power BI).
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and best practices.
- Experience with data quality tools and methodologies is preferred
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to data management (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) is preferred
- Certification in data governance or management (e.g., CDMP, DGSP) is preferred
- Experience with programming languages such as Python or R is a preferred asset
