S.i Systems post secondary client is looking for a Senior Business Analyst / Architect with a strong technical background to do a market analysis of products similar to VMWare
3 month contract to start. Ideally local to Vancouver (2-3 days' week onsite), remote candidates accepted
Must Haves :
- Experience with VMWare and their suite of products (ie. vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, VRA, SRM and NSX)
- Knowledge of VMware’s competitors (e.g., Microsoft’s Hyper-V, Nutanix, RedHat )
- Thorough understanding of the concepts of virtualization (server, network, and storage), cloud computing, and hypervisor technology
Project Description :
- Market Research : Conduct detailed research into the current and emerging trends in virtualization, cloud management, and infrastructure services to identify gaps in VMware offerings and opportunities for differentiation.
- User Requirements Gathering : Identify business needs and pain points by interacting with stakeholders like IT Associate Directors, IT Managers, and cloud architects to shape the vision for the alternative solution.
- Pricing and Licensing Models : Explore various pricing strategies (e.g., subscription-based, one-time licensing) used by VMware and its competitors to help develop competitive pricing and licensing options.
- Regulatory and Compliance Knowledge : Ensure the proposed solution adheres to industry standards and compliance (FIPPA).
