Job description

Our team in Fort St. John currently has an opening for a Mixing & Blending Operator

YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure allactivities are conducted in accordance with health, safety, quality andenvironmental management systems as well as corporate and local policies;
  • Executethe fulfillment of customers’ orders and requirements through the processes ofblending, packaging, order pulling and shipment of goods, packaged and bulk;
  • Load andunload packaged and bulk products (Rail and Tanker) in a safe, efficient mannerand confirm all appropriate documentation is in order;
  • Inspectand verify the satisfactory performance of all equipment and tools used in thisarea of operations, recommend changes where necessary and actively participatein keeping the work area clean, organized and functional;
  • Share inthe responsibility of managing the inventory of both finished goods and rawmaterial, ensuring that all material movements are properly documented and safestorage and handling procedures are followed;
  • Maintain alevel of training and knowledge in accordance with requirements of theposition, such as but not limited to forklift training, emergency response,TDG, WHMIS;
  • In theevent of employee absence, site management will ensure that identifiedaccountabilities are assigned to other designated personnel on site, includingsuitable cross training, unless otherwise specified.
  • SupportJob 7 initiatives associated with the position.
  • Haveflexibility with working hours due to the business requirements in the FortSaint John area (after hours and weekend support).

YOUR PROFILE

Education and Experience :

  • High School diploma
  • 1-2 years’ experience in an industrial or chemical handling environment
  • WHMIS / TDG training would be an asset.
