Job DescriptionThe Warehouse Associate position is to support the Director Operations and Management team in ensuring the day-to-day retail operations are operating smoothly, accurately, and efficiently.

This role is expected to practice efficiency with all daily work duties with attention to detail and accuracy in an effort to reduce company financial loss and prevent impacts on company's reputation.

Efforts are also to be made to adhere to all company policies and procedures and to help foster a strong work culture.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAble to comfortably operate our mailing solutions and portals.

Sort and batch parcels in Gaylords by carrier for ease of pickup by our shipping partners.Accurately and efficiently retrieves parcels for customer pickups.

Able to physically transport parcels off trucks either manually or with the assistance of a pump truck. This may also include bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying weighing up to 60 lbs.

Prepare pallets for truck loading; stack and shrink-wrap pallets.Organize incoming inventory and accurately scan parcels into corresponding manifest dates and organize them to designated shelves.

Careful and considerate while handling customer parcels.Maintain a clean and organized warehouse presentation.Organize, replenish, and request ordering of supplies when required.

Adaptable and flexible to the needs of the business.Always ensure professional practices are in the best interest of the business.

Job Key Competencies / SkillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills.Able to multitask and work well under pressure.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and standing for long periods at a time lifting and bending.Able to troubleshoot and problem-solve independently.

Detail-oriented and accurate with data entry.Qualifications and ExperienceAt least 1 year of warehouse experience in shipping and receiving.

Knowledge of carriers and parcel shipping is an asset (eg. FedEx, UPS).Comfortable working with new software & applications.

Language SkillsEnglish is the principal language for this position. This position requires good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively in a diverse, multicultural environment.
