What we offer :

About the Role :

This role will be responsible for engaging with homeowners to promote Zeno’s sustainable solar solutions. The role involves direct interaction with potential customers, building rapport, and addressing inquiries.

The BDR is a highly motivated and results driven individual who enjoys meeting new people and has effective communication skills.

Employment : Contract position from April to September

Location : Calgary and Edmonton

Key Responsibilities :

  • Go door-to-door in assigned territories to engage with homeowners.
  • Educate potential customers about the benefits of solar energy.
  • Set qualified appointments for our solar consultants.
  • Use our training and tools to confidently represent our brand and mission.
  • Report daily on performance and progress.
  • Qualifications :

  • Outgoing, positive attitude with strong communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Resilience and perseverance in overcoming challenges.
  • Maintaining motivation, and continuously driving toward success.
  • Comfortable working outdoors and walking for extended periods.
  • Prior door-to-door, sales, or customer service experience is a plus, but not required — we train!
  • Skills and Abilities :

  • Strong Communication Skills : Able to clearly and confidently engage homeowners in conversation and convey the benefits of solar energy in a compelling way.
  • Resilience & Grit : Comfortable with rejection and capable of bouncing back quickly — keeps a positive attitude no matter how the day goes.
  • Self-Motivation : Driven to hit daily, weekly, and monthly appointment-setting goals with minimal supervision.
  • Customer-Focused Mindset : Listens to homeowners’ needs and tailors messaging to their unique situations, building trust and rapport.
  • Time Management & Organization : Effectively plans routes, manages leads, and maximizes time in the field for peak efficiency.
  • Team Collaboration : Works well with sales reps, managers, and other setters to create a cohesive and supportive team environment.
  • Adaptability : Can pivot messaging, tone, and approach based on different customer reactions, neighborhood dynamics, or environmental factors.
  • Professionalism : Represents the brand with integrity, punctuality, and a polished appearance and attitude.
  • Goal-Oriented Mindset : Focused on results, motivated by performance incentives, and constantly striving for improvement.
  • Basic Tech Literacy : Comfortable using mobile apps, CRM systems, or tablets for lead tracking and appointment setting.
