Job Description :
The Additive Manufacturing Specialist will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing 3D-printed molds for thermoform compression molding, utilizing advanced large-format 3D printing technologies to produce high-quality molds. We are seeking a skilled Additive Manufacturing Specialist to join our dynamic team and drive innovation in our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of tooling design and engineering,
Responsibilities :
- Create and refine CAD models for molds, ensuring compatibility with large-format 3D printing processes and thermoform compression molding requirements.
- Develop and implement additive manufacturing parameters to enhance mold quality, reduce production time, and minimize material waste.
- Research and select appropriate materials for mold production, considering factors such as durability, thermal stability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product designers, production engineers, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless integration of molds into the manufacturing process.
- Conduct trials to assess mold performance, analyze results, and implement necessary design or process adjustments.
- Oversee the maintenance of 3D printing equipment and address any technical issues that arise during the mold production process.
- Maintain detailed records of design iterations, DFMEA, root cause analysis, process parameters, and testing outcomes to support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
