  • Complete Phase 1 and Phase 2 environmental site assessments in accordance with applicable Alberta provincial guidelines and standards.
  • Spend 75% of time in the field, with the remaining time focused on office-based technical and project support.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, mentoring, and on-the-job training to junior team members and new hires.
  • Support Project Managers with project execution, including planning, scheduling, task delivery, and issue resolution.
  • Assist with project communication, cost tracking, and coordination to support effective program delivery.
  • Prepare, implement, and promote site-specific health, safety, and sustainability plans to help identify, reduce, or eliminate risks to people, clients, and the public.
  • Prepare clear, accurate technical reports and documentation that meet regulatory and client requirements.

Qualifications / Skill Set

  • Diploma or Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline from an accredited institution, along with relevant continuing education.
  • 3 years of practical environmental field experience, with demonstrated experience in contaminated site assessment and remediation in Alberta.
  • Individuals with 8 or more years of related environmental field experience who are looking to grow into a formal leadership role will also be considered.
  • Experience coordinating and supervising environmental fieldwork programs is considered an asset.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proven ability to mentor and support the development of less-experienced team members.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid computer skills and confidence working with standard office and reporting tools.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and willing to take on a broad range of responsibilities as project needs evolve.
