Job description

Avec plus de 11 000 élèves répartis dans 25 écoles élémentaires et 7 écoles secondaires, le Conseil scolaire de district catholique de l'Est ontarien (CSDCEO) est le plus grand réseau d'écoles de langue française dans les cinq comtés de Stormont, Dundas, Glengarry, Prescott et Russell. Plusieurs centres de la petite enfance (garderies) sont disponibles dans nos écoles et nous offrons un Programme d'éducation aux adultes.

Responsabilités générales

Appuyé d'une équipe constituée de deux spécialistes ACA et deux éducateur(trice)s, l'éducateur(trice) sera appelé(e) à répondre aux besoins des élèves selon le profil de sa classe attitrée et des exigences du programme en enfance en difficulté.

Les responsabilités de l'éducatrice ou de l'éducateur sont :
• en collaboration avec les spécialistes BCBA, appuyer dans la gestion du programme et des besoins des élèves ;
• d'assurer la bonne gestion de la classe ;
• d'appuyer lors des activités hors de la salle de classe;
• de maintenir un climat propre aux échanges et à l'apprentissage ;
• d'assurer les suivis avec certains élèves, l'enseignant(e), la direction du Service à l'élève et ses collaborateurs.

L'appui ou l'accompagnement sera effectué sur le site de l'école (classe, cour, corridors, etc.).

Horaire de travail: De 8h00 à 14h30

Qualifications exigées

• Diplôme d'études collégiales (3 ans) en Techniques d'éducation spécialisée, Techniques de travail social, Techniques en sciences du comportement ou Child and Youth Worker.
• Bonne connaissance du français parlé et écrit;
• Connaissance de l'anglais parlé;
• Expérience dans l'accompagnement d'élèves sur le spectre de l'autisme ou dans un programme en enfance en difficulté - un atout
• Qualifications en ACA (méthodes d'analyse comportementale appliquée) et CPI (intervention non violente en situation de crise) - un atout
