Our client located in Ingersoll, ON is in search of an NDT / Welding Specialist to join their team! This is a direct hire, full-time opportunity. The NDT / Welding Specialist is responsible for all welding engineering technology, material selection, parameters, equipment, troubleshooting, training, and process development. What you'll do : -Establish and document NDT procedures, techniques, and work instructions.-Set up and calibrate NDT equipment and processes.-Approve NDT procedures for technical adequacy.-Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).-Create process troubleshooting guidelines and assist the production team with technical issues.-Provide training and qualification for personnel in NDT methods.-Audit external agencies to ensure compliance with the NDT program.-Determine appropriate welding methods based on project requirements.-Read blueprints and measurements to guide layout and procedures.-Establish testing criteria per applicable standards and evaluate results.-Promote lean manufacturing principles and ensure cost-effective delivery of parts.-Conduct NDT tests to ensure quality and detect defects.-Maintain personnel certification records in compliance with procedures.-Address inquiries from customers and production related to NDT and welding.-Oversee all NDT activities and support quality system audits.-Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and training efforts.-Work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.What you'll get : Pay : $64,000 - $70,000 / yearDirect hireMonday-Friday 7 : 30am - 4pm Required Qualifications : -7 years of related work experience NDT Level 3 / III certification Educational background must meet 1, 2, or 3 : 1 : 3-4 years of undergraduate degree in science or engineering, with at least one previous Level 2 certification.2 : 2 years of study in engineering or science at a technical school, college, or university, with at least one previous Level 3 certification or two Level 2 certifications.3 : No formal engineering or science education but must hold at least one Level 3 certification or two Level 2 certifications.Preferred Qualifications : -Ability to communicate written and verbal, across all levels of the organization -Ability to reach and interpret technical documents and drawings -Positive, proactive, and problem-solving attitude -Working knowledge of CAD / CAM and Solidworks-Computer skills with proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications Acara Solutions is committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for job applicants and employees.
