YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE

Reporting to the Energy & Infrastructure Superintendent, you will be part of the Maintenance Department. You will ensure the efficiency of the department and that necessary improvements are made. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

• Coordinate activities of the following surface and underground teams on site :
• Mobile & Fixed Plant MaintenanceSite Services (Camp maintenance, potable water and sewage treatment, road & airstrip maintenance and heavy equipment operations)Electrical and Instrumentation
• Ensure that the maintenance teams work efficiently with all resources at their disposal;
• Provide specific training and developmental opportunities for immediate employees;
• Ensure that equipment availability meets or exceeds all production requirements by ensuring that all fleets are maintained in a safe, efficient and effective manner on their shift;
• Participate in the elaboration and operationalization of the maintenance strategic plan;
• Coach and mentor subordinates in regard to employee relations, safety, environmental, productivity and cost issues;
• Oversee investigations involving safety incidents, accidents and near-misses;
• Participate in the elaboration of the budget and ensure it is respected;
• Ensure that reports are completed accurately and in a timely manner;
• Recommend procedures and methods to improve employee safety.
