Design, develop, fix and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical / business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others.

Key Qualifications

Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science / Engineering or related field. Confirmed experience developing C++ software Solid understanding of operating systems fundamentals including memory management, process and thread management etc. Ability to debug and optimize performance-critical code and solve issues at the system level. Speed analyzing / understanding existing code. Speed producing clean code.

Valued Qualifications

MySQL or other database experience. (Usage / Development). Experience with Python development would be considered as a plus. Experience with parallel computing and development. Experience with performance profiling and tuning tools for identifying bottlenecks and improving system performance. Knowledge of distributed systems. (Knowledge / Development : consistency, availability, . Experience with the POSIX standards and / or the Windows API (Development). Knowledge of TCP / IP and other transport layer protocols.

Canada : Hiring Range from $88,100 to $192,000 CAD per annum

US : Hiring Range : from $96,800 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
