About the Company :
Our client, a fast-growing Canadian business, is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their team. This is a 3-month contract role with the potential to become permanent. Working closely with the HR and Finance teams, the Payroll Administrator will play a key role in ensuring accurate, timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with company policies and legislative requirements.
What You’ll Be Doing :
Process full-cycle payroll for employees across multiple provinces using ADP software.
Ensure compliance with provincial and federal regulations, including payroll tax submissions and remittances.
Handle employee inquiries related to payroll, deductions, and benefits with professionalism and accuracy.
Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare reports for management as needed.
Maintain and update payroll records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
Collaborate with HR to manage employee changes, such as new hires, terminations, and salary adjustments.
Support year-end activities, including issuing T4s and preparing records for auditors.
Identify and recommend opportunities for improving payroll processes and efficiencies.
What You’ll Need to Be Successful :
Previous experience in payroll administration, with strong familiarity with ADP systems.
Knowledge of Canadian payroll regulations and practices, including tax compliance.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Professionalism in handling sensitive and confidential information.
