Assignment :

Part-time 0.60 FTE Educational Assistant position

Duties to commence as soon as possible and will continue for the remainder of the 2024 / 2025 school year

Possibility of an increase in FTE through out the school year

To provide support and assistance to students with complex needs, including ASD, ADHD, and social / emotional / behavioural and academic needs in a junior high classroom setting

Assisting with the schools Breakfast Program

Qualifications and / or Assets :

Highly skilled and experienced working with students with severe complex needs

Experience in Literacy and Numeracy programming

Experience and / or training as an Educational Assistant

Skills, patience, and experience supporting students with complex learning and behavioural needs.

Knowledge, understanding, and experience with ASD, ADHD and social, emotional and behavioural needs

Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training would be considered an asset

Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills

Willingness to work in a team-oriented learning environment

Flexibility to work in a variety of programs
