We are a family located in Central Elgin. We are looking for a caring, reliable, and energetic nanny to care for our two young sons. Our oldest starts school in September, so responsibilities will include helping him get ready for school, getting him to and from the bus, and providing care before and after school. Our youngest is two years old and will be home full-time until he begins school in approximately two years. We are a self-employed family, so while we work outside the home, we are often in and out throughout the day. We're looking for someone who is comfortable working independently and becoming an important part of our family's daily routine. We are looking to hire as soon as possible. Special qualifications or training Required: - Valid CPR and First Aid certification - Vulnerable Sector Check Preferred: - Early Childhood Education (ECE) certification or equivalent experience working with young children Monday to Friday, approximately 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours may vary slightly depending on our work schedule, averaging 35 to 50 hours per week. There will be some weeks where a grandma, or occasionally one of the parents, wants to spend the day with the youngest. We'll start with an initial interview to learn more about you, your experience, and your approach to childcare. If we think you'd be a great fit, we'll arrange a second meeting for you to meet our family and the children. References and a Vulnerable Sector Check will be required before a position is offered.
