Nickel Plate - Water Quality Field Technician
Barrick is looking for an experienced Water Quality Field Technician to join a motivated and high performing team at the closed Nickel Plate Mine near Hedley, BC. This position reports to the Senior Environmental Specialist and will be responsible for implementing and managing environmental and field sampling programs associated with Nickel Plate’s environmental obligations.
The role will be part-time, 30 hours per week, working together with the current Field Technician with responsibility for maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting and monitoring tasks to support Barrick’s continued compliance with regulatory and internal requirements. The expected pay for this position is between CAD $30.00 - $35.00 / hour. The successful candidate will have a proven record of environmental compliance and the ability to perform all duties in a safe and reliable manner. The role is based at Nickel Plate with some local travel to the Giant Nickel closed site near Hope, BC.
