Job description

About the Role

We are looking for a Finance Process Optimization Intern to assist in identifying, developing, testing and implementing automated / streamlined solutions within our Finance department. This role will provide valuable hands-on experience in finance processes and automation tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze existing finance processes to identify areas for automation and streamlining.
  • Collaborate with finance team members to gather requirements and understand workflows.
  • Develop and implement automated solutions using tools such as Excel, Power BI, VBA, MS Forms and Power Automate.
  • Assist in testing automated processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Document processes and provide training / support to team members on new processes & tools.
  • Provide status reports on projects in progress

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid level of knowledge of excel with an interest in learning.
  • Comfortable with programming languages (especially VBA)
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Automate and / or Power BI would be an asset
  • Basic understanding of accounting and related processes
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to tasks.
