Ready to suit up as a Event Security Guard

GardaWorld is seeking reliable and professional Security Guards to support a major international sporting event in Edmonton. This is a high-profile assignment requiring exceptional customer service, professionalism, and commitment throughout the duration of the event.

Successful applicants will be assigned to various security functions across multiple event venues and must be available to work their committed schedule for the duration of the event.

Responsibilities for Event Security Guard

• Access control and credential verification
• Perimeter and asset protection
• Foot patrols
• Bike patrols (qualified personnel only)
• Golf cart patrols
• Parking and traffic control support
• Volunteer and staff entrance monitoring
• Providing exceptional customer service and public assistance
• Incident reporting and emergency response
• Maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests, athletes, volunteers, and staff

Qualifications for Event Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid Alberta security license
• Valid Standard First Aid & CPR Certification
• ProServe Protect Certification
• Traffic Control Person (TCP/Flagger) Certification is an asset
• Bike Patrol experience
• Access control or gate security experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong customer service experience
• Professional appearance and conduct
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to think quickly and adapt to changing situations
• Strong problem-solving skills
