ExecThreadBC, CanadaThe Company is seeking a Vice President of Procurement, Pricing, and Merchandising to join its leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing the company's network with a portfolio of competitively priced tire and automotive products, overseeing strategic sourcing across various product categories, and managing several hundred million in annual purchases. This role requires a leader with a proven track record in building teams, relationships, and partnerships, and the ability to work cross-functionally to manage procurement, 3rd party suppliers, and pricing strategies. The Vice President will also be tasked with developing and implementing comprehensive procurement, pricing, and product merchandising strategies to support customer-facing initiatives, as well as leading a high-performing procurement team and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Candidates for this role should have a strong background in purchasing, supply chain, sales, or marketing, with a focus on delivering measurable results and building strategic relationships. Exceptional leadership, interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams are essential. The role also requires the ability to lead a team in meeting financial targets, and a willingness to travel as needed. While knowledge of the tire and automotive industry is helpful, it is not a mandatory requirement. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with operational capabilities, and a strong desire to learn and understand the industry and market dynamics.
