SOMMAIRE DE L’EMPLOI :

Les employés de cette classification accomplissent un travail de pratique avancée en soins infirmiers. Le travail comporte des évaluations exhaustives de la santé des patients, la collaboration avec d’autres professionnels des soins de santé à l’élaboration d’un plan de soins selon les besoins, le diagnostic de problèmes, l’ordonnance de médicaments, de tests et de traitements, l’évaluation du traitement et la prestation des soins de suivi nécessaires. Toutes ces responsabilités sont exercées selon le champ d’exercice des infirmières praticiennes ou des infirmiers praticiens en soins de santé primaires. Les employés de cette classification assurent divers services directs et indirects à des patients dans les domaines de la prévention des maladies et des blessures, des soins curatifs, de la réadaptation et des soins de soutien. Ils participent également aux rondes multidisciplinaires et de soins infirmiers lorsque cela convient. Ils agissent aussi comme personnes-ressources, mentors et précepteurs, en plus de participer à la recherche et à la planification en soins infirmiers avancés et de soins de santé multidisciplinaires.

EXIGENCES :

  • Baccalauréat en sciences infirmières et réussite d’un programme de certification postuniversitaire d’infirmière praticienne ou d’infirmier praticien;
  • Capacité d’être inscrit à titre d’infirmière praticienne ou d’infirmier praticien auprès de l’Association des infirmières et infirmiers du Nouveau-Brunswick;
  • Certificat valide en SIR;
  • Capacité de mettre en pratique les connaissances théoriques, la pensée critique et le jugement critique de l’infirmière praticienne ou de l’infirmier praticien;
  • Excellent jugement clinique et sens de l’initiative;
  • Bonne connaissance des concepts liés aux soins de santé primaires;
  • Aptitudes manifestes pour le leadership, y compris de bonnes aptitudes en relations interpersonnelles et en communication en groupe;
  • Aptitudes manifestes pour la gestion du temps et la résolution de problèmes;
  • Aptitudes en enseignement et capacité de transmettre ses connaissances aux autres;
  • Compétences dans l’utilisation d’outils informatiques et des programmes de Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Capacité de travailler en équipe et de façon autonome;
  • Capacité physique de faire le travail assigné;
  • Bon dossier de travail antérieur (rendement et assiduité);
  • Adhésion aux principes d’éthique professionnelle, à la philosophie de gestion du Réseau et aux valeurs organisationnelles;

JOB SUMMARY :

The employees of this class perform advanced nursing practice work. The work involves the following : conducting comprehensive health assessments of patients; collaborating with other health care professionals as needed in the development of care plans; diagnosing conditions; prescribing medications, tests and treatments; evaluating treatments; and providing necessary follow-up care. All these responsibilities are performed within the scope of practice for Nurse Practitioners in primary health care. Employees of this class provide a variety of direct and indirect patient services in the areas of disease and injury prevention, curative care, rehabilitation and supportive care. They participate in nursing and multidisciplinary rounds where appropriate. They also act as resource persons, mentors and preceptors, as well as participate in advanced nursing and multidisciplinary health planning initiatives and research.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Bachelor of science in nursing and successful completion of a postgraduate nurse practitioner program;
  • Able to be Registered, as a Nurse Practitioner with the Nurses Association of New Brunswick;
  • Current BLS certificate;
  • Ability to apply the theoretical knowledge, sound judgment and critical thinking skills of a nurse practitioner;
  • Excellent clinical judgment and sense of initiative;
  • Good knowledge of primary health care concepts;
  • Demonstrated leadership skills including good interpersonal and group communication skills;
  • Demonstrated effective time management and problem-solving skills;
  • Teaching skills and the ability to impart knowledge to others;
  • Skilful use of computer tools and Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Physical ability to perform the assigned work;
  • Good work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethical principles, the Network’s management philosophy, and organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality set by Vitalité Health Network.
