Your opportunity :
The MD Program is one of the largest undergraduate medical education programs in Canada with over 1,000 undergraduate medical students located on two campuses and an innovative and rigorous curriculum that educates undergraduate students through the application and communication of knowledge, collaboration and discovery. The Program includes the Enrolment Services, Office of Curriculum, Office of Assessment and Evaluation, Office of Faculty Development, and the Standardized Patient Program (SPP).
The Office of Curriculum supports the MD Program with all aspects of curriculum development and delivery across all four years of the Program. The Office provides expertise in curriculum planning and implementation as well as pedagogical practices and strategies in medical education; manages curriculum-focused events, committees, and working groups; supports visiting student electives within UofT, across Canada, and internationally; and oversees faculty development programming.
As the Curriculum Coordinator, you will support various activities across the Office of Curriculum, including support to special curricular projects and initiatives. You will provide exceptional front-line service for staff, faculty and students and provide detailed information regarding programs and courses. Your ability to work with a committed core of constituents, and your adeptness working with online course materials, assessments and evaluations are key to the successful delivery of the MD program curriculum.
Your responsibilities will include :
- Coordinating tasks for projects and other strategic initiatives with stakeholders
- Coordinating the development and maintenance of online course information and organizing and circulating course evaluations, including coordinating the submission process for student grades / marks
- Providing basic support in resolving technical issues, and general referrals to individuals in distress
- Providing detailed information on program and courses
- Coordinating the recruitment and training processes for exam invigilators along with the coordination of examination schedules; Disseminating, collecting, and analyzing surveys
- Providing committee support and writing routine documents and correspondence including taking meeting minutes and preparing meeting agendas; Editing content for brochures, newsletters, websites and / or handbooks
- Resolving issues within the scope of the role and escalating problems as required
- Keeping well-informed on university programs, policies, and procedures
