Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Electrician will be responsible for but are not limited to assembling, testing and troubleshooting various types of equipment.
Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure you work safely, producing good quality work in the defined timeframe
Read and interpret schematics
Working knowledge of all applicable local codes
Installation of electrical equipment / devices on robotic projects
Panel building, field wiring, on electrical devices and layout
Test electrical and electronic equipment and components
Support mechanical and controls departments during project testing, teardown, and shipping
Install, repair, and testing of electrical motors and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
Ensures work completed complies with the appropriate and applicable standards
Perform installation, debug, repair and other field service duties that may require offsite travel
Complete paperwork such as work orders, forms, and checklists associated with assembly of device
Responsible for maintaining good relations with customers, vendors, and plant personnel
Complete all tasks in a safe efficient manner and communicating any unsafe conditions or actions to management
Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment
May be required to travel up to 10% of the time within North America, valid passport required
Qualifications & Experience
Certificate of Qualification as either a Construction and Maintenance Electrician (309A) or Industrial Electrician (442A)
3+ years’ experience as an Electrician
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Must be adaptable to changing work environment, competing demands and frequent changes, delays or unexpected events
Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel)
Must have a valid drivers licence and passport as some travel is required in this role
