Duties

Providing engineering and technical expertise on multi-disciplinary projects

Participating in studies, assessments, modeling, preliminary and detailed design using AutoCAD / Civil 3D and Bentley MicroStation InRoads / OpenRoads

Contributing to reports, drawings, and other engineering documents

Preparing designs for municipal road reconstructions, water / sewer systems, site grading, and stormwater management

Communicating with clients, consultants, and contractors under supervision

Supporting proposals preparation

Collaborating with project teams to meet deadlines and budgets

Prepare tender and contract documents, including specifications, quantities, and construction estimates

Mentoring junior engineers and technologists as needed

Qualifications

Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from an accredited institution

3-7 years of experience in municipal / transportation design engineering, with some consulting experience would be an asset

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Understanding of highway geometric design principles, grading, and drainage

Familiarity with municipal and provincial transportation design standards

Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Compensation

The salary range for this position is : $60,000.00 - $85,000.00

Compensation for this role will be determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business needs.
