AdeccoRichmond, British ColumbiaAdecco is currently in search of a permanent, full-time Automotive Service Technician - Red Seal in Richmond, BC, to join our client, a leading entity in the automotive wholesale industry. In this role, you will be tasked with completing diagnoses, repairs, inspections, and maintenance on vehicles as assigned, while upholding consistently high standards for technical efficiency and adhering to all safety protocols.
Location : Richmond, BC
Pay Rate : $30 - $35 / Hour, depending on experience.
Shifts : Rotation | Monday to Friday OR Tuesday - Saturday| 7 : 30 AM - 4 : 00 PM | Overtime opportunity
Assignment Type : Permanent | Full-time
Responsibilities :
Conduct general mechanical inspections and repairs, including brake jobs, exhaust system jobs, front-end alignments, ball joints, air conditioning, and maintenance of auction vehicles, as well as external referrals for transmission work.
Provide general maintenance services by conducting oil and fluid changes, tire changes, general vehicle check overs and related duties as well as ensuring that all safety procedures are followed
Complete pre and post-sale inspections as a provision of Buyer Protection Plan
Conduct motor vehicle safety inspections, including body, frame, and damage checks, transmission, differential, and overall powertrain checks, and completion of the required safety checklist.
Perform frame inspection services by inspecting vehicle undercarriages to ensure no cracks, bends, or other damage exists.
Assist with general shop maintenance, vehicle movement, and test drives for diagnosis of required repairs.
Occasionally assist with sourcing parts and providing quotes to customers, as well as completing work orders including parts and labor entries.
Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
Red Seal Automotive Service Technician Certification is required.
License to complete Motor Vehicle Inspections (MVI) is an asset.
Experience in repairing and servicing mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems and components on various vehicles.
Valid Class 5 driver’s license in BC is required.
Satisfactory driver's abstract and criminal record check are required.
Basic computer skills and proficiency in smartphone utilization are required.
Flexible schedule required Monday-Saturday.
