Summary of Position : The Automotive Lubrication Technician performs a key role in the service department. Lubrication technicians follow BMW specific procedures and schedules to maintain vehicles to the industry’s highest standards. Lubrication technicians carry out oil services, a variety of fluid replacements, air filter and microfilter replacements, and vehicle inspections that provide a comprehensive review of the vehicle’s current condition. Competent and qualified Lubrication technicians will be trained in BMW’s state-of-the-art equipment allowing them to repair and replace tires as well as performing four-wheel alignments.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities :

  • Ensure repairs are performed efficiently to the BMW standard of quality
  • Carry out maintenance to vehicle engines to prevent premature engine wear and ensure optimal engine performance.
  • Correcting tire pressures to maximize tire wear.
  • Performing engine cleanings if required.
  • Replacing cabin, fuel, air, and oil filters as required.
  • Performing tire rotations to ensure even tire wear.
  • Thoroughly inspecting customers’ vehicles for oil leaks.
  • Making recommendations for additional servicing based on initial vehicle inspections.
  • Making recommendations for additional servicing based on time and mileage
  • Inspect fluid levels and top up as needed
  • Drain and replace engine, transmission & differential lubricants as requested
  • Produce quality work that ensures vehicles are fixed right the first time
  • Maintain and clean shop equipment
  • Ensure workplace safety and cleanliness
  • Other duties as assigned by management
  • Job Specifications :

  • Self-motivated with the desire to continuously learn
  • Must be able to work independently and in team setting
  • Strong time management and organizational Skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. repeatedly
  • Valid driver's license with a clean current abstract
  • Strong desire to work with hand tools and automotive maintenance equipment

    Compensation : $18.00-$21.00 per hour

    Work Environment : Our hours of operations are below. The hours and days of work are dependent on your role with a 40-hour workweek for full-time employment.

    9 : 00 am to 7 : 00 pm Monday to Thursday

    9 : 00 am to 6 : 00 pm Friday

    9 : 00 am to 6 : 00 pm Saturday

    12 : 00 pm to 5 : 00 pm Sunday & Statutory Holidays
