In this role, you'll :
Prepare analyses to support capital allocation decisions, including the impact of changes in credit metrics on debt capacity, early debt repayment or refinancing decisions, shareholder return strategies, and lease vs. buy considerations.
Collaborate with Corporate FP&A teams to assess and communicate the impacts of financial outlooks, as well as potential acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic initiatives on credit metrics and debt capacity.
Support workflows related to credit rating agencies by reviewing annual rating reports for both Canadian Tire and CT REIT, and forecasting and reporting on credit metric performance.
Maintain relationships with Canadian Tire’s banking partners by contributing to Canadian Tire’s share of wallet process through forecasting, analyzing, and reporting transaction fees and allocations.
Help execute Canadian Tire’s and CT REIT’s shareholder return initiatives.
Assist with quarterly reporting requirements, including financial statement disclosures.
Aid in the forecasting and reporting requirements of the Dealer Financing Program.
Support Treasury initiatives and provide analytical support to senior management as needed.
What you bring
2-3 years of Corporate Finance experience, preferably in the Treasury function at a publicly traded company.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Working towards a CFA, CPA, or MBA is an asset.
Strong comprehension of financial markets and economic principles.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel for financial modeling and data analysis.
Advanced quantitative and analytical skills with a problem-solving orientation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
