About Your New Role
Reporting to the Supervisor, Metallurgy, the Metallurgy Technician will support metallurgical process optimization through sampling, analysis, testing, and support of the plant’s automated systems and data integrity programs.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Participate in metallurgical activities within the mill, including sampling, analysis, testing, and metallurgical accounting to support process evaluations.
- Support the commissioning, configuration, and maintenance of process automation and analyzer systems as the plant transitions into increased automation.
- Execute plant simulation and optimization bottle roll tests to support process tuning.
- Support Metallurgy supervisor in all CI metallurgical projects and provide insights for process improvements.
- Assist in reagent optimization initiatives, monthly reagent inventory stock, and consumption reporting.
- Investigate deviations in plant performance by responding to alarms and verifying actual field conditions.
- Perform grinding mill liner inspection and measurement when required.
- Perform daily leach feed and tails size analysis.
- Ensure all online analyzers and sampling systems operate safely, efficiently, and with high accuracy.
- Identify and troubleshoot instrument drift or failure through manual cross‑checks against automated readings.
- Maintain logs of analyzer readings, calibration data, and manual check results.
- Assist operators with circuit inspections and accurately collect key milling data and measurements.
- Contribute to compliance with the International Cyanide Management Institute (ICMI) Code, through data collection and operational support.
- Assist in preparing and validating daily, weekly, and monthly metallurgical production data for internal and external reporting.
- Perform refinery duties when needed.
- Assist in grinding surveys and other periodic metallurgical test work.
- Prepare technical reports and present findings to supervisors.
- Assist in vendors, consultants, and contractors management where required.
- Maintain a strong safety mindset by adhering to safety protocols, identifying hazards, and contributing to a safe work environment.
- Any other duties as assigned by the department.

About Our Working Conditions
This position has a schedule of 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off at our remote camp which you will be required to fly in fly out with pick up points in Saskatoon, Prince Albert and La Ronge.
