Job descriptionPrepare and review detailed design packages, including drawings, specifications, and engineering reports. Interpret project specifications, codes, and standards to ensure compliance throughout the design and manufacturing process. Create material lists (BOM), manufacturing drawings, and design reports, including pressure vessel calculations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs are implemented accurately and meet quality standards. Provide timely engineering support to stakeholders, facilitating smooth workflows from design to production. Participate in design review meetings to optimize manufacturability and quality of designs. A Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering (or related discipline with relevant experience). 0-10 years of experience in mechanical or industrial design. Proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and PDMS. Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., ISO, ASME) and experience with materials, welding, and fabrication processes (experience with pressure vessels is an asset). Excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. Experience with ASME BPVC (Section VIII Div. 1). Knowledge of Autodesk Vault, COMPRESS, and MathCAD. Understanding of electrical and control systems. A team player who excels in cross-functional collaboration. Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Comfortable meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work under pressure.
