Postdoc Fellow in Quantum Nanofabrication – Join the Tech Adventure! What we do :
We’re pushing the boundaries with nano-photonic circuits to control room-temperature qubits and create ultra-sensitive industrial quantum sensors.
Applications? From geological exploration and defense to navigation, medical imaging, and quantum computing! Your mission, should you choose to accept it :
Develop a cutting-edge nanofabrication protocol for scalable production
Harness ODMR (optically detected magnetic resonance) technology to create game-changing quantum products
Make a huge impact on Canada’s quantum industry—and the global tech landscape! What you’ll be doing day-to-day :
Prepare thin film layers with high-end materials (Metals, Diamond, Al2O3, Si3N4, SiO2)
Work with micro-nanofabrication techniques : lithography, plasma deposition, etching, lasers – the high-tech stuff!
Dive into advanced metrology : electron microscopy, ellipsometry, AFM… you name it!
Work hands-on in the 3IT cleanrooms, an inspiring R&D hub Your team :
Collaborate with top industry players : SB Quantum, NRC, NSERC, Institut Quantique, and more! A one-of-a-kind environment where students, professionals, and industry partners team up to build tomorrow’s tech! The essentials :
Department : Faculty of Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering
Position : Postdoctoral Fellowship We’re looking for someone like you :
PhD in Physics or Engineering, with a focus on optics / photonics / quantum
Experience in cleanroom work and microfabrication is a big plus
Completed all requirements of your doctoral degree after September 1 2023
