Job descriptionThis is a unionized position; 40-hour / week schedule, from Sunday to Saturday; Day, evening, and night shifts, rotating every 2 weeks; Night premium at $20.50 / hour; Weekend premium at $103.73 / hour. Plan and coordinate the loading and unloading operations of containers from trains, ships, and trucks at our two terminals; Maintain and / or increase productivity goals by efficiently using our human and material resources as well as our warehousing environment; Apply the company's safety regulations and work practices so that our employees work in a safe environment; Propose qualitative and productivity improvement areas; Make recommendations to improve customer service. University and / or college degree in operations management, transportation logistics, or any other relevant field; Minimum of 5 years of operational experience preferably in logistics, transportation, or shipping; Experience in managing unionized personnel; Ability to work under pressure and make decisions with a high degree of responsibility; Excellent communication skills; Positive attitude, highly developed leadership; Ability to work outdoors and on different shifts (on rotation) to supervise work; Must be able to climb aboard a ship to inspect work and communicate with the crew; Proficiency in standard computer tools; Good knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI); French is mandatory, but an advanced proficiency in English is also required due to the international nature of the company and the need to interact with international clients and partners, as well as to support or collaborate with English-speaking colleagues.
