Job description :
We are looking for a superintendent in industrial mechanical to join a dynamic and passionate team within a general contractor based in Quebec.
This multidisciplinary company, specializing in construction and engineering, has extensive experience with large-scale projects.
It offers comprehensive services, ranging from project management to execution of works.
Responsibilities :
- Plan, organize, and supervise construction work with foremen and subcontractors
- Read and understand plans and specifications to define work methods
- Create and manage the project schedule with the General Superintendent and Project Manager
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards on the site
- Prepare for and participate in project meetings
- Plan, prepare, and purchase necessary tools and materials
- Monitor productivity, document issues, and prepare daily reports
- Ensure the quality of materials and work, prepare and monitor the budget, and analyze the costs of changes
Skills and qualifications :
- Degree in Industrial Mechanics or equivalent
- 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of financial management
- Computer skills, including proficiency with Office Suite
- Knowledge of welding (a plus), heavy machinery, cement plants, and foundries (major assets)
