Job description

A company specializing in logistics and transport is looking for an Operation Manager. This world-renowned company is setting up in Ontario in the Ajax area and is looking to build the best team. The Operation Manager is an expert in warehousing, distribution and packaging. All the while keeping an eye on efficiency, quality of work and the safety of everyone in the warehouse. He always has continuous improvement in mind.

The Operation Manager role is managing staff, setting objectives, conducting performance reviews and fostering a productive work environment. The Operations Manager ensures compliance with safety protocols, monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) and encourages continuous improvement. He / she also maintains customer relations, manages budgets and schedules, and looks after facility maintenance. In addition, the position includes administrative duties, such as preparing reports, managing claims and ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

3PL warehouse, high-volume and fast-paced environment (mandatory)

Schedule : Day and evening shift (possibility of overtime)

Responsibilities

The Operation Manager has to :

  • Supervising warehousing, distribution and packaging operations, ensuring efficiency, quality and safety.
  • Managing staff.
  • Setting daily objectives.
  • Conducting performance reviews and fostering a productive work environment.
  • Manage budgets and schedules, and looks after facility maintenance.
  • Administrative functions : preparing reports, handling complaints and ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Qualifications

    The Operation Manager must have :

  • University studies in a relevant field (administration, management, human resources),
  • 3PL warehouse, high-volume and fast-paced environment (mandatory)
  • Financial planning and budgeting skills.
  • Knowledge of logistics and the supply chain.
  • Leadership and communication skills.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Many years of warehouse experience.
  • Highly-developed skills in health and safety at work.
