About the role
JOB SUMMARY:

The Director, Strategy & PMO is a critical strategic advisor and proxy to the SVP of Adecco Canada. This role drives enterprise alignment, accelerates execution on national priorities, and ensures clarity, focus, and forward momentum across the Canadian organization.

The Director leads Adecco Canada's National Project Management Strategy, establishing project governance, building enterprise-wide visibility, and embedding disciplined execution during a period of significant transformation. This role develops the structures, systems, and operating rhythms that ensure milestones, risks, and outcomes are consistently understood, managed, and delivered.

Key Responsibilities

1) Strategic Planning & Enterprise Execution
  • Co-lead annual and multi-year strategic planning cycles with the SVP.
  • Translate strategy into actionable roadmaps, workstreams, and milestones.
  • Ensure alignment with global, regional, and Canadian priorities.
  • Develop integrated transformation portfolios, ensuring initiatives are sequenced, prioritized, and resourced appropriately.
  • Prepare high-quality strategic briefs, analyses, and recommendations to support executive decision making.

2) National Project Management Strategy & Governance
  • Design and implement Adecco Canada's National Project Management Strategy, including standards, templates, governance structures, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Establish and operate a national PMO-style framework with full visibility into timelines, dependencies, risks, and cross-functional impacts.
  • Serve as the central owner of enterprise timelines, ensuring precision in tracking across strategic, operational, and transformation initiatives.
  • Deliver concise, executive-ready program updates to the SVP, CLT, and SCP.
  • Proactively identify execution risks and drive rapid mitigation in partnership with business leaders.
  • Maintain momentum and accountability through disciplined follow-up, escalation pathways, and risk governance.

3) Analysis, Insights & Change Leadership
  • Lead cross-functional strategic projects and enterprise-wide change initiatives end-to-end.
  • Conduct business analyses, identify performance gaps, and recommend solutions.
  • Synthesize insights into clear, actionable recommendations for the SVP.
  • Drive alignment, clarity, and structure across project stakeholders.

4) Governance, Reporting & Operating Rhythms
  • Own the executive operating rhythm, including MBRs, QBRs, KPI reviews, dashboards, and CLT governance.
  • Ensure reporting is accurate, consistent, and actionable.
  • Track leadership commitments and ensure timely follow-through.
  • Integrate project portfolio updates into the executive cadence, enabling forward-looking, data-driven oversight.
