Our team, experts in Supply Chain and Logistics, speaks your language and understands your industry.I am currently assisting one of my clients, a company specializing in sports equipment, in their search for a Sports Equipment Buyer based in Montreal.Responsibilities- Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with market trends and business objectives.- Identify and select products that best meet customer needs and business requirements.- Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best pricing, delivery terms, and warranties.- Monitor inventory levels and adjust orders to prevent stock shortages or overstocking.- Analyze product performance and recommend strategic adjustments.- Conduct market and competitor analysis to optimize product offerings.- Work closely with internal teams to ensure effective stock management and optimal market positioning.- Recommend training programs on new products to enhance sales team performance.Profile- DEC in management, commerce, or a related field.- Minimum of 3 years' experience in purchasing, category management, or procurement.- Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.- Experience in supplier negotiation and relationship management.- Ability to analyze market trends and make strategic decisions.- Excellent organizational skills, autonomy, and priority management.- Capability to manage multiple product lines simultaneously.- Bilingualism (French-English) is essential for communication with English-speaking suppliers.PROCESS : Initial interview with Baptiste GAERTNER, Fed Supply Recruitment Consultant - followed by an interview with the company's Human Resources Manager and Position Manager.To apply : www.fedsupply.ca
